Nick and Julie Roscoe Owners

Nick has been involved in the towing industry for 40 years. He has owned and operated Dr Hook Towing together with his wife Julie Roscoe since 1982. The company has grown from a start of half a dozen trucks and 10 employees to nearly 100 fleet vehicles and 125 employees. Nick oversees the day to day operations and Julie heads up the Administration and Accounting offices. Together they have at least 80 years of experience between them in the towing industry, not to mention that this business operates 24 / 7/ 365.

Sheldon Sass Impound Services Manager

Sheldon manages and oversees our Impound Services for the last 17 years. Sheldon is responsible for vehicle disposition through Public Auctions and Compliance with Procedures set out under the Garage Keepers Act. Sheldon also heads up and manages our Fleet Maintenance Services as well as supplies us with 5 Light Duty Tow Units and 2 Tilt Decks.

 
Val Roscoe Admin Services

Val has been with us for 25 years. She has held many positions within the company, primarily in Dispatch and Office Management. Val is currently a senior member of the Accounting Dept.

Colleen Sass Admin Services

Colleen has been involved in the day to day operations for the last 23 years. She has had many responsibilities during this time and is currently the Head of our Accounts Receivable Dept., Chairman of the Workplace Safety Committee, and Director of our Drug Testing program. She is also the Manager of Driver Services.

 
Gab Benson Admin Services

Gab has been with us for 22 years. She has spent this time in the Accounting Department. She oversees our Accounts Payables and our Employee and Contractor payrolls. Gab ensures that each of our Contractors, Providers, Partners and 125 employees are paid in full - on time, every time.

Destiny McCallum Supervisor of Invoice Verification and CSR Operations

Destiny has been with us for 21 years. She is the head of our Invoice Verification Department, which processes 110,000 invoices each year. Destiny is the CSR Supervisor and continually reviews the work and performance of as many as 16 Call Takers (CSR's).

 
Neil Doerksen Senior Dispatcher

Neil has been with us for 17 years. He is our Lead Daytime Dispatcher and oversees the dispatching of all calls for all divisions. Our Dispatch Division dispatches 110,000 calls annually to a fleet of 80 different types of towing equipment. Neil is well versed in our Digital Dispatch and GPS Mapping System and has a great knowledge of all drivers capabilities.

Wes Kaltenbach Senior CSR

Wes has been with us for 25 years. First as a driver, then moved into a CSR position and is currently a lead CSR working for the Dispatch Division. Wes is knowledgeable in all aspects of our services and is well-known to all our customers.

 
Shane Clifford Operations Manager of Tilt Decks and Tilt Trailer Division

Shane has been with us for 25 years. He started as a Driver Sub Contractor, then became a Lead Dispatcher and has since become an Operations Manager. He is responsible for our Tilt Deck and Tilt Trailer divisions as well as Driver Orientation. Shane is also in charge of all new hire employee interviews and screening. He ensures that each new employee is assigned all Safe Work Procedures, safe work courses and ensures that each new employee completes our mandatory in-house 2-week training program. Shane is our "go-to" guy for all things Tilt Deck or Tilt Trailer, he provides many of our high-volume accounts with personalized 1 to 1 service.

Scott Rose Senior Heavy Towing and Recovery Operator

Scott has been with us for 30 years. Most of his tenure here has been in the Heavy Towing and Recovery Division. He is WreckMaster Certified Levels 2/3/4/5 and has certification in Air Cushion Recovery, Advanced Rigging, TDG and Emergency Spill Response and E-Rail.

 
Eric Roscoe Senior Heavy Towing and Recovery Operator

Eric has been with us for 14 years and is involved in our Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery Division. He operates our 75 ton-5 axle rotator. He is WreckMaster Certified Levels 2/3/4/5/6/7. He holds certifications in Advanced Rigging (Crosby), OSHA, Matt Jack, Forklift, Aerial Platform & Boom Lift as well as holds certifications in TDG, Incident Command 100, Emergency Spill Response, Rotator Operation, E-Rail, Air Cushion Recovery, Traffic Controller, Flagger, Hazwoper NFPA 472 and Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (29-CFR1910.120). Eric also supplies us with 2 Light Duty Towing units and operators.

Brad Plourde Operations Supervisor Tilt Decks & Trailers, Specialty Transport

Brad has been with us for 21 years. He started as an Owner Operator and has moved into our Equipment Moving division. Brad is a trainer for Lift Trucks, Aerial Devices and Fall Protection. He is an active member of the Safety Committee. He is a Lead Hand in our Emergency Spill Response division and has certifications in Forklift, Aerial Platform & Boom Lift as well as certifications in TDG, Incident Command 100, Emergency Spill Response, E-Rail, Air Cushion Recovery, Traffic Controller, Flagger, Hazwoper NFPA 472 and Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (29-CFR1910.120). Brad also supplies us with 2 Light Duty Towing units and operators.

 
Russell Roberts Heavy Towing Operations Supervisor/Senior Operator

Russell has been with us for 17 years. He started as a CSR then transitioned to Night Dispatcher, later moving to his current position as a Heavy Operator/Supervisor. He deals with the 15 different operators in the Heavy Towing Division and ensures our operators are meeting our customers' needs and expectations. He is WreckMaster Certified Levels 2/3/4/5/6/7. He holds certifications in Advanced Rigging (Crosby), OSHA, Matt Jack, Forklift, Aerial Platform & Boom Lift Operations as well as certification in TDG, Incident Command 100, Emergency Spill Response, Rotator Operation, E-Rail, Air Cushion Recovery, Traffic Controller, Flagger, Hazwoper NFPA 472 and Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (29-CFR1910.120).

Ed Kirby Hazardous Material & Environmental Consultant, TDG & Aerial Platform Trainer

Ed has been associated with Dr. Hook for 24 years. Ed came to us after a lengthy career with the Canadian Military. He then joined the Heavy Towing and Recovery Division. Ed has since obtained certification in in TDG, Incident Command 100, Emergency Spill Response, Rotator Operation, E-Rail, Air Cushion Recovery, Traffic Controller, Flagger, Hazwoper NFPA 472 and Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (29-CFR1910.120), National Defence (Unit Environmental and Hazardous Materials Officer), Safety Investigation Training (Safety Manitoba) and Oshkosh Fire Truck Factory Certified Technician, Confined Space Supervisor. Ed is our TDG & Aerial Platform Instructor. Ed is our consultant for all environmental, Hazardous Material and Spill Response Situations and concerns. Ed is currently Hazardous Material Officer for the Royal Canadian Air Force.

 
Kyle Gauthier Director of Emergency Spill Response Operations

Kyle has been with us for 5 years. He started in our Heavy Towing and Recovery Division as a Recovery Assistant/Rigger. He is WreckMaster Certified Levels 2/3/4/5/6/7. He holds certifications in Advanced Rigging (Crosby), OSHA, Forklift, Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform & Boom Lift Operations as well as certification in TDG, Incident Command 100, Emergency Spill Response, Rotator Operation, E-Rail, Air Cushion Recovery, Traffic Controller, Flagger, Hazwoper NFPA 472 and Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (29-CFR1910.120). Kyle oversees our Emergency Spill Response Division which is made up of 2 fully equipped response trucks and 2 well-equipped trailers. He ensures that each of our 80 units is equipped with all Spill Response materials and we have enough stock on hand to properly respond to any size of spill. Kyle ensures all our Responders are up to date with current Response Procedures and Regulations and all safety precautions and requirements. Kyle also ensures that required Conversion Reports and Waste Documentation is completed, filed and forwarded to all required parties in accordance with Federal, Provincial and Municipal Regulations.
